Nurse Representative
Job Summary: Acts as liaison between the nurses of Utah and the CISM Executive Board.
Accountability:
- Acts as a liaison between the nurses of the State of Utah and the CISM Executive Board. CISM activities or education that promoted and published whether by the Emergency Nurses Association or the medical community, will be brought to the attention of the CISM Executive Board.
- Facilitates a working relationship between the CISM team of Utah and the Nurses’ Association of Utah Emergency Nurses Conferences and Hospital Systems in the recruitment of new CISM team members, announcements of CISM services and upcoming educational events.
- Encourages and promotes the education of ED nurses in the State of Utah as to the nature of critical incident stress and services of the team that area available. With a focus on ensuring that ED nurses across the state have access to peer support training and access to CISM debriefing support services.
- Volunteers with education and debriefing activities as available, attends executive board meeting, team meetings and performs any assigned duties delegated by the Chair.
- Works with ED nurses, Fire, Pd and Dispatch personnel throughout Utah to facilitate understanding and support across the spectrum of frontline caregivers and increases interdisciplinary debriefing opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be registered in the State of Utah as either an LPN, RN, or NP and must be a member of the CISM team for a minimum of one year.
- Ability to volunteer a flexible number of hours to complete given assignments. To attend 80% of executive board meetings.
- Participate in the annual training and other required training sessions.
